What these terms cover

These terms apply to homeandawaybar.com, published as Home & Away, Alberta Game Day, a guide to watching hockey and football in Calgary and Edmonton. By reading or using the site, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

The site is written for adults. The betting section is for people 18 and over who are physically present in the Province of Alberta. How personal information is handled is set out separately in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

Bar listings and game-day details

Wing nights, happy hours, opening hours, patios and transit details are checked against venues' own pages and public sources on the date shown at the top of each page. Bars change their deals, menus and hours without notice, so a listing can be out of date by the time you read it. Please confirm with the venue before you go.

Game times, broadcasts and arena rules come from the teams, leagues, broadcasters and arena operators, and they can change too. The guide is not responsible for a deal that has ended, a kitchen that closed early or a game moved to another channel.

The betting explainers are information, not advice

The pages in the betting section explain how odds, lines and the regulated market in Alberta work. They give no tips or picks, name no betting operators and link to none. The odds and stakes in the examples are invented to show the arithmetic and are not real prices.

Nothing on the site is financial, legal or tax advice. Any decision to bet is yours alone, under the rules of the registered site you use and its own terms and conditions. Gambling can be addictive. If it stops being fun, the responsible gambling page lists GameSense Alberta and the AHS Addiction Helpline, 1-866-332-2322, open 24 hours.

Corrections, liability and changes

The guide is provided as it is, with care but without any promise that every detail is complete or current. If you spot an error, write to [email protected] and the page will be checked and corrected. To the extent the law allows, the publisher is not liable for any loss that comes from relying on the site, including the cost of a night out or money spent on a bet.

These terms may be updated, and the date at the top of this page shows the current version. They are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Questions about them go to the address above, and the contact page has more on reaching the desk.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Can I rely on the bar deals and hours listed on Home & Away?

Use them as a starting point. Every listing was checked on the date shown at the top of its page, but bars change deals, menus and hours without notice. Confirm with the venue before you go, and email [email protected] if a listing has changed.

Does the site give betting tips or work with betting operators?

No. The betting pages only explain how odds and the Alberta market work, for adults 18 and over who are physically present in Alberta. They give no tips, name no operators and carry no affiliate links, and the examples use invented numbers.

Can I quote or share pages from the guide?

Yes, short quotes with a link back to the page are welcome. Please do not copy whole pages. Commons photographs stay under their own licences, listed in the credit table on the about page.
